Elias

Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

The Hanna Elias Cabernet Sauvignon hails from the esteemed winegrowing region of Alexander Valley, where the vines bask in optimal sun and cooling influences from the Russian River to produce exceptional fruit. This Cabernet Sauvignon showcases a rich and inviting deep red hue. It exudes powerful aromas of ripe blackcurrant and cherry, with subtle underlying notes of tobacco and spice adding complexity. On the palate, it boasts a full-bodied profile with a firm yet refined structure. The acidity offers a bright counterbalance to the wine's fruit-forward character, making each sip lively and engaging. Its tannins are notably firm, providing a substantial backbone that suggests excellent aging potential. The finish is long and satisfying, resonating with lingering flavors of dark fruit and savory hints. This bottling is a testament to the meticulous viticultural and winemaking practices characteristic of this Californian sub-region and is bound to impress with its depth and elegance.

Region:

Alexander Valley

One of the warmest AVAs in Sonoma County, Alexander Valley stretches from the banks of the Russian River into the foothills of the Mayacamas mountain range. Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot are the main grapes here, creating voluptuously full-bodied wines with distinct notes of cassis, roast plum and even chocolate. They are more fruit forward than the earthy reds of Napa. For white wines, Alexander Valley offers big and bold Chardonnay. These are often aged with oak for a buttery vanilla flavor, and those grown nearest the Russian River have a noticeable minerality. Other grapes that thrive in the valley's balmy climate are Sauvignon Blanc and Zinfandel.
